Real-time COVID tracking and response, powering Meghalaya’s digital health defence system

Meghalaya’s COVID Tracking System

When COVID-19 hit, the Government of Meghalaya, with support from CDFI, rapidly developed and deployed a statewide digital tracking system to manage the pandemic response. Using simple digital tools like mobile apps and IVR calls, the platform enabled real-time monitoring, early detection, and effective intervention, helping the state contain the spread efficiently.

Strengthening Meghalaya’s COVID response with data-driven decisions and timely medical interventions.

Initial problem

Government of Meghalaya

CDFI developed and implemented the Meghalaya COVID Tracking System, a digital solution integrating mobile apps, IVR calls, and real-time dashboards to manage COVID-19 across the state. The system connected hospitals, care centres, and field workers, enabling them to register patients, track symptoms, allocate beds, and monitor recoveries. Through continuous data updates and automated alerts, state and district officials could make quick, informed decisions while citizens accessed test results and health information through the www.meghealth.in portal.
