Digitising progress tracking for catchment restoration under the Meg-ARISE Project

Meg-ARISE Digital Tracking System

Following the success of MegLIFE MIS, CDFI partnered with the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) to develop a dedicated MIS for the Meg-ARISE project, funded by KFW. This system enables the planning, implementation, and real-time monitoring of catchment-based activities, including plantations, watershed projects, forest and soil conservation, across key districts in Meghalaya.

Initial problem

Meg-ARISE project

CDFI designed a custom digital MIS for the Meg-ARISE project to support the tracking of catchment area restoration and conservation programmes. The platform consolidates field-level data, maps progress in real-time, and offers administrators an oversight tool to monitor the impact of multi-million-euro projects in ecologically sensitive zones.

The solution we implemented

Success of our implementation of the Meg-ARISE MIS

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), launched on 31st December 2016 envisions to provide cash incentive amounting to ₹5,000 directly to the Bank/ Post Office Account of Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers (PW&LM) during pregnancy and lactation period

223 Villages Under Oversight

The system supports real-time tracking of interventions across 223 villages in West Garo Hills and East Khasi Hills.

€32M Projects Digitally Tracked

Plantation, watershed, forest, and soil conservation projects worth €32 million are being monitored through the platform.

Platform Live with 30+ Users

The MIS is operational and in use by the state teams via mis.megarise.in, enabling transparent planning and reporting.

Built for scale. Operated for local progress.
